Good Reputation
To find the best preschool for your child, you’ll most likely need to ask around for referrals. Ask your friends, neighbors, or relatives about the different preschools in the area, and what their opinion of each facility is. If your immediate network does not have any quality recommendations, look online for a list of qualified, licensed schools.
Discipline Protocols
Sometimes kids do things they aren’t supposed to, and need to be disciplined in order to learn from their mistakes. A good early learning program will outline exactly what a child can expect when being disciplined, so there are no surprises. In addition, there should be some way to reward good behavior, such as a reward chart.
Qualified Staff
Preschool programs differ from normal daycare centers due to their educationally qualified staff. A good preschool teacher should have at least two years of college, at a background in childhood development. When looking at schools, observe how the caretakers interact with the children, and make sure that the staff creates a warm, welcoming environment for your child.

There should be clear regulations for everything, from hours of operation, to their emergency protocol. A preschool with relaxed rules may not take your child’s responsibility seriously, creating an imperfect fit.
